About me

CSIC Adjunct Doctor – Oscar Serrano (Catalunya, 1981) is a Post Doctoral Research Fellow within the “Centre for Ecosystems Management in the School of Natural Sciences” in Perth, Australia, and part of GAME. He has over seven years research experience in marine ecology and palaeoecology, and in marine biogeochemical cycles. He participated in several projects related tot this topics such as AGRIWESTMED, SUMAR II, SUMAR, CARBOMED and WADI.In Spain he worked at the Centre for Advanced Studies of Blanes and the University of Santiago de Compostela.

Hobbies

Passionate about the sea and its corners, Oscar spends his free time navigating and exploring the seabed. He also enjoys fishing and mushroom picking, photography and travel to remote places on the planet.

Scientific interests

Study the change in ecosystems in the long term, through the study of millenary records in coastal areas and the analysis of biological, chemical and geological indicators.
