Elena (Madrid 1973) has recently finished her PhD about the population dynamics of Posidonia oceanica meadows confronted to climate change, at the University of the Balearic islands. She has also coordinated the EU project Life+Posidonia Andalucia. Now she applies her experience on this habitat and on Life projects, as well as her knowledge of seagrasses in Andalucia, to the project Life Blue Natura, which seeks to quantify the blue carbon deposits and sinks formed by Andalusian seagrasses and coastal saltmarshes.
