Antonio es profesor de Edafología en la Facultad de Biologia de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela y coordinador de investigacion en el grupo Earth System Science (ES2). Sus trabajos se centran en las aplicación de la geoquímica ambiental para la caracterización del funcionamiento y la capacidad de almacenaje de cambios ambientales del pasado de los ecosistemas con particular interés en el impacto de las actividades humanas des de la prehistoria hasta la actualidad.

Antonio is Professor of Soil Science at the Faculty of Biology of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. He is the coordinator of the research group Earth System Science (ES2). His research is mainly concerned with applications of environmental geochemistry for the characterization of ecosystems’ functioning and tracing past environmental changes, with particular interest on the role of human activities since prehistor.
