EFFECTIVE brings together its partners in Blanes to advance the restoration and ecosystem management of the Mediterranean

The meeting marked a key milestone to align the progress of the different work packages, consolidate the development of digital tools — including the pilots of Digital Twin— and strengthen marine restoration strategies in the four pilot areas of the project: Sea of Empordà, Ebro Delta, Northern Sardinia and Cape Greco (Cyprus).

The GAME group (Group of Aquatic Macrophyte Ecology, CEAB‑CSIC) He actively participated in the sessions, sharing progress related to nature-based solutions and the restoration of seagrass meadows, as well as in the fieldwork carried out in the area of Montgrí, Medes Islands and Lower Ter Natural Park.

The conference combined technical presentations, participatory sessions, and practical activities that enabled the connection of science, management, and action on the ground. This comprehensive approach reinforces the consortium's commitment to implementing ecosystem-based management systems and enhancing the resilience of the Mediterranean in the face of climate change challenges.

EFFECTIVE advances towards its central objective: generating knowledge, tools, and strategies to protect marine natural capital and support coastal communities in the Mediterranean.
