About me

Gloria Misson (Udine, 1988) completed her PhD in Environmental Sciences two years ago at the University of Trieste. Her doctorate focuses on understanding the key characteristics of the carbon cycle in seagrass meadow sediments, proposing experimental models to comprehend the issues and perspectives. At CEAB, she is currently learning advanced techniques for analysing sediment cores from seagrass meadows and has developed statistical analyses and time series of samples from the Balearic Islands. Gloria holds an MSc in Ecology, Marine Sciences (2013, University of Genoa, Italy). The title of her Master's Thesis was "Coastal Hydrodynamics and Priority Marine Habitat: New 2D Modelling Approach to Assess Regression in Posidonia oceanica Meadows at the Mediterranean Scale."

About me

Gloria Misson (Udine, 1988) completed her PhD in Environmental Life Science two years ago at the University of Trieste. Her PhD focused on understanding the key features of the carbon cycle in sediments of seagrass meadows and seagrass wrack litter, proposing experimental models to understand the problems and perspectives. At CEAB, she is currently learning advanced techniques for analysing seagrass sediment cores and has developed statistical and time series analyses of samples from the Balearic Islands. Gloria holds an MSc in Ecology, Marine Sciences (2013, University of Genoa, Italy). The title of her Master’s thesis was “Coastal hydrodynamics and marine priority habitat: new 2D modelling approach to evaluate the regression in Posidonia oceanica meadows on a Mediterranean scale”.
