About me
Born in Málaga in 1992, she won a predoctoral scholarship at the CEAB-CSIC. She is currently undertaking her doctoral studies at the Centre for Advanced Studies of Blanes (CEAB). Her research focuses on deciphering the environmental information contained in Posidonia oceanica meadows, which serve as a valuable repository of paleo-ecological information about the ecosystem, both marine and adjacent terrestrial. Her work centres on the study of sediment records from National Parks in Spain (Cabrera and the Atlantic Islands). Carmen holds a degree in Environmental Sciences (University of Málaga) and a master's in Ecology, Management and Environmental Restoration (University of Barcelona, 2014).

Paleoecology in coastal environments, coastal conservation, the carbon cycle, and climate change.
